Illegal residents resist anti-encroachment operation

The residents protested over operation against encroachments in Railway Colony Lahore.

The occupants protested and pelted stones at police when operation against illegal settlers started in Railway Colony. Police baton charged and fired teargas shell on the protesters.The protesters blocked the road by burning tyres and shouted slogans against the administration. The residents were of the view that they were settled in this area for several years but the administration is kicking them out without any notice.The protesters demanded ownership rights of the residences at railway land.
