Summary Says the party’s contempt of court petition is incomprehensible
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Senator Abid Sher Ali has said that the government does not want to do politics on the health of PTI, adding the party’s contempt of court petition is incomprehensible.
Speaking at Dunya News programme ‘BAAT NIKLAY GI’, Senator Abid Sher Ali said, “I pray that Allah Almighty gives health to the PTI’s founder. Politics and opposition has their place, but it is a matter of humanity.”
Abid Sher Ali said that security issues outside the hospital were compromised, adding it was difficult to control the workers; and no one should object to the steps taken by the government to control the workers.
Abid Sher Ali said that the PTI's contempt of court petition is incomprehensible. PM and the government cannot be made parties in the petition. Jail administration has to follow its own rules and regulations.
A contempt of court petition has been filed in the Supreme Court by the Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding the hospital transfer of PTI founder Imran Khan.
The petition filed by the PTI has sought initiation of contempt of court proceedings for violating the Supreme Court’s order of August 18, 2026.
