KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Sindh government has removed a medical legal officer and ordered him to appear before an inquiry committee in connection with alleged lapses in medicolegal procedures and postmortem report of Mir Raza, who was found dead a day after his abduction.
Medical Legal Officer Dr Osama, who conducted the first postmortem, was removed from his post and directed to appear before the inquiry committee.
Officials said Dr Osama made mistakes in the post-mortem. The inquiry committee will question Dr Osama regarding the mistakes made in the post-mortem. Dr Osama was serving as a medico-legal officer at Jinnah Hospital.
In the Mir Raza case, the investigating authorities prepared a list of 10 people and decided to summon them for questioning.
According to investigative sources, Mir Raza had taken loans from some people, who are also included in the list.
Mir Raza had allegedly taken a loan of more than Rs17.5 million from a person, while a person had lent Mir Raza Rs 500,000.
