Summary Weapons, ammunition and explosives recovered following the security operation
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Security forces killed five terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on August 10, 2026, after security forces received intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area.
The military said five terrorists were killed during the high-speed operation carried out on the basis of the received intelligence.
A substantial quantity of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was recovered from the militants killed during the operation, according to the ISPR.
The statement said the recovered explosives were destroyed at the site, while security forces moved to secure the area and prevent any further threat.
The military said the action formed part of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign aimed at maintaining peace and security across the country and eliminating terrorist networks.
Following the operation, security forces launched a clearance and sanitisation operation in the area to locate and eliminate any remaining threats, the ISPR said.
The military described the targeted action as part of continuing efforts against terrorist proxies that it alleges are operating with Indian support.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue operations against terrorism allegedly supported and facilitated by foreign elements, according to the statement.
The ISPR said these efforts are being conducted under the "Azm-e-Istehkam" vision approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
