ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A high-level defence delegation of Somalia, led by its Minister of Defence, Ambassador Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, called on Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at Naval Headquarters and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu at Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday.

According to the ISPR, key matters of mutual professional interest, regional maritime security, and bilateral defence collaboration were discussed at Naval Headquarters.

The Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to further strengthening defence ties with Somalia.

At Air Headquarters, discussions focused on bilateral defence cooperation, professional collaboration, and capacity building.

The Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu highlighted the Pakistan Air Force's indigenous capability development, training, and professional exchanges, reaffirming the PAF's commitment to supporting institutional cooperation with the Somali Air Force.
