Summary Pakistan's Foreign Office has introduced an evening shift for consular services, extending operating hours until 8:00pm on weekdays to improve public access and reduce waiting times.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially launched an evening shift for its consular services to provide greater convenience to the public and improve the delivery of citizen services.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that consular services will now be available continuously from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Monday through Friday.
He said the extension of service hours aims to facilitate citizens, reduce waiting times and improve access to essential consular services.
According to the Foreign Minister, the new evening shift will make it easier for people seeking passport-related assistance, document attestation, verification and other consular services.

Dar said the government remains committed to modernising public service delivery and making it more efficient and citizen-friendly, adding that the extended working hours are an important step towards achieving that objective.
He expressed confidence that the initiative would make consular services more accessible, efficient and convenient for citizens travelling from across the country.
