The protests against the missing of electricity are continuing for the fifth consecutive day in Karachi. Police baton charged and shelled the protesters during the protests. The sever electricity crisis in the city still continues. The load shedding has surpassed 12 hours duration resulting in a sever shortage of drinking water in certain areas. Protests were witnessed on Jehangir Road, Mahmood Abad, Sarjani Road and several other spots. Protesters burnt tyres and torched many vehicles besides stoning a patrol pump. Police used shelling and baton charge to disperse the protesters. A woman went unconscious when a shell fell into her house. Police have arrested above a dozen protesters.
