GILGIT (Dunya News) - The swearing-in ceremony of newly-elected Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan, Amjad Hussain Advocate, which was scheduled to take place on July 1 in the GB Assembly, has been postponed.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Amjad Hussain Advocate confirmed the postponement, saying that the decision was made due to the busy schedule of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
He said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will attend the oath-taking ceremony as a special guest, and a new date for the event will be announced later.
It is worth noting that Amjad Hussain Advocate is the president of the Pakistan People’s Party Gilgit-Baltistan chapter and has been elected to the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly for a second term.
