Summary Lahore High Court introduces integrated digital system to monitor judicial officers’ performance, records, complaints, and accountability through technology

LAHORE (Muhammad Ashfaq) - Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum has inaugurated a modern Integrated Judicial Officers Performance Management System aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and accountability within the provincial judiciary.

The Lahore High Court described the initiative as a major milestone in strengthening judicial administration through digital transformation. The newly launched system will provide a centralized platform for managing records and monitoring the performance of judicial officers across Punjab.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Director General Judicial and Case Management Javed Iqbal Bosal. During the event, Additional Registrar IT Jamal Ahmed gave a detailed briefing on the features and objectives of the system.

According to the briefing, the integrated system has been developed under the digital integration framework of the district judiciary, focusing on three key areas: digital transformation, transparency and accountability, and improved performance and accessibility.

The system is built around several major components, including a Human Resource Management System (HRMS), which will maintain centralized records of judicial officers’ profiles, transfers and postings, qualifications, skills, seniority, annual confidential reports (ACRs), leave management, training, and publications.

An Exam Management System has also been included to digitally track examination attempts, history, and overall results of judicial officers.

The platform further integrates performance monitoring and complaint management systems, enabling comprehensive analysis of judicial officers’ performance, tracking of case decisions, and monitoring of complaints and inquiries.

Chief Justice Aalia Neelum appreciated the efforts and professional expertise of the Lahore High Court’s IT team in developing the system, expressing hope that it would mark the beginning of a new era of transparency and efficiency in the judicial system.

She said the implementation of the Integrated Performance Management System would not only centralize service records of judicial officers but also facilitate timely evaluation of performance, complaints, and inquiries through structured institutional reporting.

Justice Aalia Neelum termed the initiative a practical reflection of the Lahore High Court’s vision and directed relevant departments to ensure complete training on the system. She also emphasized the importance of computer training for all High Court staff members to support effective digital transformation.
