Summary Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan expressed satisfaction with arrangements, security, and facilities at Gurdwara Panja Sahib during their religious pilgrimage.

HASAN ABDAL (Dunya News) — Religious ceremonies, prayers, and rituals are continuing at Gurdwara Panja Sahib as Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan participate in their spiritual journey.

Under arrangements made by the Evacuee Trust Property Board and the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sikh pilgrims paid their respects at the historic shrine and performed special prayers and religious rituals.

Comprehensive facilities have been arranged for the pilgrims, including accommodation, langar (community meals), transportation, and medical assistance. Officials said that, following instructions from Evacuee Trust Property Board Chairman Qamar-ul-Zaman, all possible measures are being taken to ensure the comfort and safety of visitors.

In view of the extreme summer heat, arrangements for cold drinking water, medical camps, and emergency services have also been put in place. Special cleanliness measures have been ensured at the gurdwara, while the district administration and security agencies are providing foolproof security.

The visiting pilgrims appreciated the arrangements, including accommodation, langar, transport facilities, medical camps, ambulance services, and immediate healthcare support. They thanked the Government of Pakistan and the Evacuee Trust Property Board for their hospitality.

The pilgrims said that Pakistan’s efforts to preserve Sikh religious sites, provide religious freedom, and promote interfaith harmony were commendable. They added that Sikh shrines in Pakistan have become more beautiful, secure, and peaceful, and praised the warm welcome they received.

According to the schedule, the Sikh pilgrims will depart from Gurdwara Panja Sahib on June 14 and travel to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, where they will stay for a day and perform religious rituals.

Later, they will visit Gurdwara Rori Sahib before arriving in Lahore. The main ceremony commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Guru Arjan Dev will be held on June 16 at Gurdwara Dera Sahib.

The 10-day religious pilgrimage will conclude on June 19, when the Indian Sikh pilgrims are scheduled to return to their homeland.
