KARACHI (Dunya News) – A Karachi Judicial Magistrate South court on Wednesday accepted the jail administration's plea to exempt alleged drug ‘queen’ Anmol alias Pinky from appearing in person in cases against her during the proceedings.
A hearing was held in a drug recovery case registered against the accused. Police had filed a request to present the accused, Anmol Pinky, via video link.
The police argued that presenting Anmol Pinky in person could pose a law and order risk. The court observed that due to security reasons, physical custody of the accused is not required until the submission of the challan, and she should be produced whenever the court summons her.
Meanwhile, police have also requested permission to access the bank accounts of co-accused in the case. The investigating officer has filed an application in the sessions court.
