GUJRAT (Dunya News) – Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain inaugurated the Service Morr flyover in Gujrat on Wednesday, aiming to improve traffic flow and support local industrial development.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by a Chinese delegation, reflecting ongoing cooperation in infrastructure development. The one-kilometre-long flyover has been completed at a cost of Rs2.463 billion.

Speaking on the occasion, the provincial minister said that street lights would be installed on the flyover within the next two to three weeks. He added that development work to improve the city’s sewerage system was also under way.

Hussain further stated that funds have been released for the Small Industrial Estate, where renovation and upgradation of infrastructure are currently in progress.

He noted that a treatment plant is being installed to manage waste from the ceramics industry, aiming to address environmental concerns and improve sustainability in the sector.

The minister emphasised that resolving public issues and strengthening the industrial base remain key priorities of the provincial government, adding that such projects would contribute to the district’s overall development.
