ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar paid tribute to the nation and the armed forces on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, calling it a demonstration of Pakistan’s unity and military resolve.
Addressing the occasion, Ishaq Dar said the armed forces, under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir, delivered a decisive response to adversaries, highlighting the bravery of Pakistan’s officers and soldiers. He praised the nation for its solidarity, calling it the country’s greatest strength during the operation.
He noted that military efforts successfully targeted various enemy positions, including Indian warplanes, and emphasized that active diplomacy projected Pakistan’s strong stance internationally.
On the issue of Kashmir, the deputy prime minister reiterated that a resolution must align with United Nations resolutions, warning that peace in South Asia is impossible without addressing core disputes like Kashmir.
Dar also assured that Pakistan will not compromise on its sovereignty and will respond firmly to any aggression.
He stressed that Pakistan will continue to strengthen its economy, education system, and other sectors while playing a constructive role in promoting regional peace.
