Summary Shehbaz Sharif directs Pakistan Railways to improve passenger safety, convenience, and strengthen freight services to boost economic activity

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday held separate meetings with Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi, Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar Khan, and Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi.

During the meeting with the Railways Minister, Hanif Abbasi briefed the prime minister on matters related to Pakistan Railways and ongoing development projects.

The prime minister stressed the importance of ensuring safe travel and public convenience while also improving freight services to make them more effective.

He expressed satisfaction over steps taken by Pakistan Railways to improve passenger facilities. The meeting also discussed other matters of mutual interest.

In another meeting, Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal briefed the prime minister on ongoing projects in the health sector and special initiatives being taken for disease prevention.

Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar Khan also informed the prime minister about relevant matters. Secretary Health Aslam Ghouri was also present.

In a separate meeting, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi briefed the prime minister on the ministry’s affairs and progress on ongoing projects.

The meetings also included discussions on other matters of mutual interest.
