RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - During the “Maraka-e-Haq,” Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Shahzaib Rafi demonstrated exceptional professionalism and bravery by taking command of an artillery unit and executing an effective strategy against the enemy.
On the night between May 6 and 7, 2025, when the enemy targeted civilian populations, the unit under his command was immediately ordered to respond.
He swiftly mobilized his unit and initiated a strong and coordinated artillery response.
Under his leadership, timely and intense firing resulted in the successful destruction of several enemy brigade and battalion headquarters, as well as mortar positions, inflicting heavy losses on the opposing side.
According to military sources, the powerful artillery response by Lt Col Shahzaib Rafi’s unit played a decisive role in the enemy’s defeat during the operation.
Expressing his resolve, Lt Col Shahzaib Rafi stated that if the enemy attempts to challenge Pakistan’s determination in the future, it will be met with an even stronger and more decisive response.
In recognition of his outstanding performance and bravery during the operation, Lt Col Muhammad Shahzaib Rafi was awarded the Tamgha-e-Basalat.
