LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Minority Affairs Minister Ramesh Singh Arora has said that Modi used the Pahalgam incident to crack down on minorities and to target their religious places of worship.

Addressing a press conference regarding the Pahalgam False Flag and the atrocities on the minority community in India, Ramesh Singh Arora said Pakistan is a peace-loving country, while India attempted aggression against Pakistan under the guise of the Pahalgam incident.

He further said that violence against minorities in India is not a new phenomenon, adding that the Pahalgam incident has instead brought Pakistan honor on the global stage, while India is facing diplomatic isolation. He also claimed that India’s so-called secular image has been exposed internationally.

Arora further said that Pakistan set a wonderful example by opening the Kartarpur Corridor, but the Christian community in India was not even allowed to celebrate Christmas.

Ramesh Singh Arora said that Muslims are subjected to violence in India under various pretexts. “There is no comparison between Pakistan and India regarding the rights of minorities. In Pakistan, all citizens enjoy religious freedom, equal rights, and complete state protection without discrimination,” he added.

During the press conference, Minister of State for Religious Affairs Khalid Das Kohistani said that no religion permits terrorism and that India falsely linked the Pahalgam incident with Pakistan.

He said that in Pakistan, people of all religions celebrate their festivals together. “Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been turned into a torture chamber, the Modi government is using the government machinery against minorities, and no minority is safe in India,” he stated.

Member of the National Peace Committee Rajesh Kumar Hardasani said that Modi has damaged the identity of Hinduism for political gains and attempted to divide Hindus and Muslims in India.

Bishop Nadeem Kamran also stated that Pakistan enjoys strong religious harmony and that places of worship for minorities are secure in the country.

The press conference also featured a documentary highlighting alleged abuses against minorities in India, alongside footage showcasing religious freedom and protection for minorities in Pakistan.
