Lahore High Court dismisses three civil judges, including officials from Lahore, Rawalpindi and Jhelum, after misconduct charges were proven.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore High Court has dismissed three civil judges from service on charges of misconduct.
Following approval by the court’s administrative committee, the registrar issued a notification stating that Civil Judge Lahore Naseem Akhtar Naz and Civil Judge Rawalpindi Muhammad Aslam were removed after the allegations of misconduct against them were proven.
Similarly, Civil Judge Jhelum Sarmad Saleem was also dismissed. He had proceeded abroad on one month’s leave and later sent his resignation without assuming charge upon return.
Chief Justice Aalia Neelum had constituted an inquiry committee headed by the Session Judge Jhelum. The inquiry found that the civil judge submitted his resignation without resuming office after the leave period.
