LAHORE (Web Desk) - Under police reforms initiated by the Chief Minister, the Punjab government has introduced three mandatory written forms requiring prior approval before conducting raids.

Police officials will now be required to complete a pre-raid permission form, an arrest form, and an investigation guidelines form before taking action.

The system-based forms have been implemented in all police stations across Punjab, including Lahore. Police teams conducting raids must record the case number, details of the nominated suspect, and information about the vehicle being used, along with necessary signatures.

According to officials, the arrest form will include details regarding the suspect’s health condition, any visible signs of torture, and provision of medicines. The third form will document information about the crime scene, investigating officer, evidence collected, and questions asked from the suspect.

Authorities stated that the introduction of system-based forms aims to prevent custodial torture and deaths in police custody, while reducing violations of standard operating procedures during police raids.
