Seven bogies of Lahore-Karachi Pak Business train detached near Ghotki due to coupler failure; engine ran ahead, repair team dispatched to reconnect and resume journey
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Seven bogies of the Pakistan Business Train traveling from Lahore to Karachi derailed from the engine near Ghotki, Sindh, railway sources reported.
The incident occurred near Mohammadpur when the train split into two parts, with the engine moving several kilometers ahead while the bogies remained behind.
Railway authorities said the detachment was caused by a coupler malfunction.
It took about four hours before the detached bogies could be attended to, but the rescue team had not yet reached the site at the time of reporting.

Officials confirmed that the engine is returning to reconnect with the bogies.
Once the coupler is fixed, the train will resume its journey. A repair team has been dispatched to the site to carry out the necessary maintenance.
