Islamabad court orders arrest of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas in passport misuse case

An Islamabad court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for former Azad Kashmir PM Sardar Tanveer Ilyas over alleged diplomatic passport misuse, adjourning hearing until February 23.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - An Islamabad court has issued orders to arrest and produce former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas in a case involving the alleged misuse of a diplomatic passport.
According to media reports, the District Court Islamabad heard the case under the supervision of Judicial Magistrate Murad Abbas. During the proceedings, the court remarked that it appeared the FIA had prepared a report in favor of the accused.
The court issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Sardar Tanveer Ilyas and directed authorities to ensure his arrest and appearance before the court.
The former prime minister failed to appear despite being summoned multiple times. The court has adjourned further hearing of the case until February 23.
