Tirah Valley operation inevitable due to presence of terrorists: Sanaullah

Rana Sanaullah categorically said that there would be no leniency toward terrorists and action would be taken wherever miscreants are present.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Adviser to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah on Tuesday said that operation in Tirah Valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is inevitable due to presence of terrorists.
Speaking on Dunya News programme “Dunya Meher Bokhari Kay Sath”, Rana Sanaullah said that an operation could take place in Tirah Valley at any time. He said that people have been asked to cooperate with the security forces.
Rana Sanaullah claimed that there is a very large drug industry in Tirah Valley. He informed that cannabis is cultivated on 12,000 acres of land in Tirah Valley and added that terrorists also earn money from narcotics.
He categorically said that there would be no leniency toward terrorists and action would be taken wherever miscreants are present. He said the presence of terrorists in Tirah Valley makes an operation unavoidable.
Rana Sanaullah added that the provincial government is creating a narrative as if it has no knowledge of the situation. He said the army has not asked civilians to relocate from any area. Wherever terrorists are present, intelligence-based operations will be conducted. This policy applies to the whole of Pakistan.
He further said that due to winter, 50 to 80 percent of the population migrates anyway. Because of snowfall, operations are currently difficult there, but terrorists are present in the area.
