Senate agrees on Opposition Leader appointment

Consensus has been reached in the Senate on appointing Allama Raja Nasir Abbas as Opposition Leader, with authorities completing legal formalities before issuing the official notification.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Following consensus in the National Assembly, an agreement has also been reached in the Senate on the appointment of the Leader of the Opposition.
According to sources, a notification for the appointment of Allama Raja Nasir Abbas as the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate will be issued soon, after the completion of all legal formalities.

The matter was discussed during a consultative meeting held in the Chairman Senate’s chamber. Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar also attended the meeting.
Sources said the process is being finalised in accordance with constitutional and legal requirements.
