ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - President Asif Ali Zardari has congratulated Finland on its 108th Independence Day and conveyed his best wishes to the Finnish people.
President Zardari said that Pakistan greatly values its bilateral relations with Finland. He noted that Pakistan and Finland share similar views on democratic values and pluralism, and that Finland holds a distinguished position in education, innovation, and research.
He added that Finland’s eight consecutive years at the top of the Global Happiness Index reflect the creativity and resilience of its people. He said Pakistan is determined to further enhance cooperation with Finland, as both countries maintain close alignment on global issues.
President Zardari said that there is vast potential for cooperation in trade, education, and green transition. He noted significant opportunities for joint work in digitalization, mining, and telecommunications. Pakistan is committed to increasing political and trade engagements with Finland.
