Chief Secretary Balochistan asks departments to activate their social media accounts

QUETTA (Dunya News) - Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan on Friday directed all departments to immediately activate their social media accounts so that the latest updates on development projects can be delivered to the public.

A meeting of the Secretaries Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, in which staff attendance in offices and the activation of social media accounts were reviewed. The meeting also assessed transparent appointments to vacant posts and effective monitoring of development projects.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that the provincial government's top priority is to provide basic facilities to the public. Citizens should have timely access to healthcare, education, water, infrastructure, and other essential services. All officers and employees must remain present at their respective postings to serve the public.

He said that an active social media presence will establish direct communication between the government and the public. The Monitoring and Evaluation Section has been fully activated for the oversight of development projects.

Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir further stated that the timely completion of projects will not only be ensured but will also restore the public’s trust in the provincial government. All secretaries must fill vacant posts in their respective departments strictly on merit.
