Sheikh Rashid urges govt to allow meetings with Imran Khan

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Awami Muslim League chief and former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that everyone should be allowed to meet PTI founder Imran Khan.
Speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Ahmed said that allowing jail meetings would not change anything. He added that the people are already crushed under poverty and inflation, therefore the government should focus on improving the overall situation.

Regarding the May 9 cases, he said that he was not even in the country at the time, yet cases have been filed against him.
The former minister further stated that people have received sentences of up to 40 years, including his nephew Rashid Shafiq. He emphasised that the country needs to be steered toward improvement.
