Britain has termed the Swat operation as a success. Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said that it is incumbent upon everyone to believe that the situation that his risen after the operation should not be taken as the foundation for spreading extremism in the country. In a letter written to the communications department of the British Parliament he stated that Pakistan has successfully removed the majority of extremists from the country during this operation. He said that the whole nation has backed the operation however the Pakistan forces have paid a heavy price in the process. He further added that other nations should fulfill the promises made with Afghanistan and Pakistan of total wipe-out of the Taliban from the region.
