ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Senate and National Assembly secretariats have issued the agendas for Friday's (today) parliamentary sessions, revealing significant legislative developments on the table.

Among the key items, the government has decided to withdraw the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Amendment Bill 2023.

According to the Senate agenda, the Law Minister, Azam Nazeer Tarar, will move a motion under Rule 115 to formally withdraw the NAB Amendment Bill 2023. The decision reflects the government’s intention to retract the legislation that had earlier introduced amendments to the accountability framework.

The Senate’s agenda also includes the approval of several other important bills: the Federal Prosecution Service Amendment Bill 2025, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Amendment Bill 2025, and the National School for Public Policy Amendment Bill. These bills are expected to be discussed and moved for passage during the upcoming session.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly Secretariat has released a 14-point agenda for its meeting tomorrow. The list does not include the 27th Constitutional Amendment, which had been under public speculation for inclusion. Instead, focus will centre on legislative business and policy matters already listed by the secretariat.

Both chambers are expected to convene with a full schedule of deliberations, with the withdrawal of the NAB Amendment Bill 2023 likely to be the most closely watched development of the day.
