LAHORE (Dunya News) - Sky-watchers in Pakistan and around the world witnessed a striking Blood Moon - a phenomenon that happens when the Moon passes through the Earth's shadow, taking on a deep red hue.

The captivating display was visible in its totality in several countries around world.

A lunar eclipse began in Pakistan and several other countries around the world.

According to the Meteorological Department, the process of a total lunar eclipse (Super Blood Moon) started in Asia, Africa, and Europe.

In Pakistan, a partial lunar eclipse occurred at 9:27pm, while the total lunar eclipse began at 10:31pm and reached its peak at 11:12pm.

The eclipse concluded at 1:55am. During this time, a fully red moon went visible in Pakistan as well. At its peak, the moon appeared red instead of white.
