RAHIM YAR KHAN (Dunya News) - A horrific collision between a car and a trailer occurred near the Zahir Pir rest area on Motorway M-5, resulting in the deaths of four people, including children, and leaving two others injured.

According to rescue officials, the accident happened as the driver went into sleep during driving.

The deceased belonged to the same family and were residents of Rahim Yar Khan.

Rescue teams responded promptly, shifting the bodies and the injured to a nearby hospital. Medical treatment is currently being provided to the injured.

Earlier, three schoolchildren lost their lives and five others seriously injured after a speeding dumper truck ran over the group near Lady Garden Park in Abbottabad on Friday.

According to initial reports, the children were walking near the park when the incident occurred. Rescue teams arrived at the scene promptly, shifting the bodies of the deceased and the injured students to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for medical treatment.

Hospital staff are currently providing emergency care to the injured children, while police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.

Efforts are underway to locate and arrest the dumper driver, who fled the scene. Police teams have begun conducting raids in the area as part of the ongoing manhunt.
