Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry has said that police excesses with the people will not be tolerated and warned the department that it had no powers to register concocted cases. Addressing the oath-taking ceremony of district bar in Nawabshah, Chief Justice Iftikhar said that the judiciary was trying to provide justice to the people. National Judicial Policy was enforced after two months of the restoration of the judiciary. The Chief Justice said that more amends will be made in the judicial policy to extend the fruit of the independent judiciary to the people.
