Aafia Siddiqui case transferred to new judge as IHC issues roster for next week

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has released its duty roster for the upcoming week, following approval from Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar.
According to the new schedule issued by the IHC Registrar, nine single benches and five division benches will hear cases,
As per the roster, single benches of Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan have been dissolved. Both judges have now been assigned to a special division bench dedicated to tax-related cases.
Cases previously scheduled in the individual courts of Justice Sattar and Justice Ejaz Ishaq Khan have been reallocated to other benches.
The high-profile case of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui has been transferred from Justice Ejaz Ishaq Khan’s bench to that of Justice Inam Amin Minhas.
Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan had recently issued contempt of court notices to the prime minister and the federal cabinet. He had demanded their response by September 1.
