KARACHI (Dunya News) - Chief Executive of the K-Electric Moonis Alvi on Wednesday night has claimed that electricity supply had been restored in more than 94 of Karachi. He informed said that there are around 150 feeders where restoration work is still ongoing.

He said that the city received between 130 to 170 millimeters of rain -- the heaviest since 2020 – in the past two days.

He further stated that the rainfall caused difficulties for the people of Karachi. After the rain, the local administration began draining rainwater using pumps, and Shahrah-e-Faisal was cleared by night.

The K-Electric CEO said that due to the rain, their field staff faced significant mobility challenges. The presence of water made it difficult for K-Electric vehicles to reach fault-affected locations.

Moonis Alvi added that during the rain, over 500 electricity feeders had tripped, but by 11 PM, only 200 remained affected.
