BIEK announces inter results; top students shine in Home Economics and Special Candidates Group

All three toppers earned A-1 grades, bringing pride to their institutions
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has officially announced the results for the Annual Intermediate Examinations 2025 in the Home Economics Group and the Special Candidates (Arts Regular) Group.
In the Home Economics Group, Erum Faisal of Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan Government College secured the first position by scoring 1054 marks out of 1200.
Eman Hashmi claimed the second position with 988 marks, while Shanza Nayab stood third with 980 marks.
All three toppers earned A-1 grades and brought pride to their institutions.
In the Special Candidates Group, Syeda Fariyah from DEWA Higher Secondary School secured the top spot by scoring 960 marks out of 1100. Her schoolmate Brira Islam obtained 925 marks to take second place, and Eman Al Shams of IDA-RIEU School stood third with 920 marks.
According to Controller of Examinations Zarina Rashid, a total of 198 candidates had registered for the Home Economics Group, out of which 189 appeared and 112 passed.
The overall pass percentage stood at 59.26%. Among the successful candidates, 9 students secured A-1 grades, 24 got A grades, 30 earned B grades, 31 achieved C grades, and 18 received D grades.
In the Special Candidates Group, 116 students had registered, out of which 114 appeared in the exams and 103 were declared successful, achieving an excellent pass percentage of 90.35%. Out of the passing candidates, 19 secured A-1 grades, 55 received A grades, 27 got B grades, and 2 students secured C grades.
BIEK Chairman Fakir Muhammad Lakho congratulated all the position holders and praised the hard work of students, teachers, and parents.
He emphasised that these results reflect the determination and talent of students despite challenges. The board has also made the results available online at the official website for students’ convenience.
The announcement brought joy and pride to students and educational institutions, with educationists encouraging the youth to keep aiming higher and contributing positively to society.
