JIT’s summoning of PTI leaders on propaganda charges challenged in IHC
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The summoning of PTI leaders by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on social media propaganda charges has been challenged in the Islamabad High Court.
PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram filed the challenge against the JIT proceedings under the PECA Act.
Justice Raja Inam Amin Minhas is set to hear Waqas Akram’s petition tomorrow. The petition was filed through lawyer Rizwan Shabbir Kayani.
The JIT is investigating 16 individuals, including senior PTI leaders, for their alleged involvement in negative propaganda on social media.
