ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser said that there is a need to revisit our foreign policy in the wake of recent wave of terrorism in the country.

Speaking in National Assembly on Thursday, senior PTI leader said that Pakistan doesn’t have cordial relations with both the neighboring countries Iran and Afghanistan.

“The business activity in Peshawar depends on bordering Afghanistan but unfortunately we don’t have good relations with the country,” said Asad Qaiser.

Regarding illegal immigrants in the country, the PTI leader emphasized the need for action against them.

He added that the governments of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be consulted in the counterterrorism efforts.

In his speech, Asad Qaiser also demanded resignation from Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.

He added that the government must improve law and order in two provinces, stating that they are deliberately depriving smaller provinces.

The PTI leader further stated that this parliament lacks the power to represent the people. “We have demanded free and fair elections. Only true representatives can run the parliament,” he remarked.
