Summary
Jet fighters in South Waziristan targeted the main positions and suspected hideout of Baitullah Mehsud killing many insurgents hiding in the area. According to earlier reports, the militants fired rockets at Jindola FC fort in South Waziristan region injuring three security men. Moreover, the militants tried to detonate New Sabzi Mandi police check post in Bannu and damaged a portion of the building. Militants also destroyed a telephone exchange and a police check post with explosives in Lower Dir district.
