LAHORE (Dunya News) - Lahore High Court has fixed Information and Broadcasting Minister Azma Bokhari’s plea against fake video on social media for hearing.

The court has summoned a case progress report from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Azma Bokhari had filed a plea against a fake video of her on social media, contending that she was being maligned and a victim of character assassination.
Bokhari has pleaded for a legal action against Falak Javed, accusing her of involvement in propagation of fake video in social media.
In the last hearing of the case, the court directed the FIA to conclude the investigation in this case by October 11 and resolve this case on merit.
Lahore High Court has also sought arguments on the legal status of Twitter and Facebook.
The FIA DG requested some time to complete the investigation of this case as he said that no presence of Facebook and Twitter offices in Pakistan creating some challenges.
The FIA DG also informed the court that KP House had been raided and assistance of police could be sought but time was needed to probe the matter.
The FIA DG stated that they were increasing strength in the investigation committee and two to three weeks were needed to conclude this case.
