Mercury has hit sub-zero in Quetta while Peshawar is also gripped by cold wave.

In Quetta, water pipes have burst in some areas as ice expands at exactly minus-4 degrees. The Met office says that weather will remain dry and cold in most parts of the country in the next 24 hours.The lowest temperature was Wednesday recorded at -7.5 degrees Celsius in Quetta while nearly 8 was the highest. Gas pressure has also been reported lowe in many areas owing to the cold wave.In Peshawar too, the people have started using sweaters and jackets. The Met office said that the weather will remain dry in most parts but Gujranwala, Lahore, Kashmir and Baltistan where light, sporadic drizzles are the forecast.
