Says the JUI-F has struck no alliance with the PTI and the party will focus on politics of ethics
MULTAN (Dunya News) – JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has announced that the party has decided to focus on institutional reforms rather than targeting individuals.
Speaking to the media in Multan on Friday, he stressed that constitutional amendments should be given importance.
He disclosed that the government initially hesitated to provide a draft of the proposed amendments but after persistent efforts, copies were shared with both JUI-F and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
However, discrepancies were found between the draft, which raised concerns.
He expressed his dissatisfaction with the chaotic situation in Islamabad, where the environment was tense.
The JUI-F chief further stated that party's legal team was reviewing the draft and a final version would be prepared soon.
Rehman lamented the government’s attempt to pass incorrect laws through the parliament.
He reaffirmed his stance on the judiciary and military’s role within their boundaries.
While concluding, he said the JUI-F had struck no alliance with the PTI and the party would focus on politics of ethics.
