He questions how can government expect to earn public's trust
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Awami Muslim League chief and former federal minister Sheikh Rashid claims that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has won the first round of the constitutional amendment draft debate.
In a statement, Sheikh Rashid said those who had championed the "Vote ko Izzat Do" slogan had themselves undermined the value of votes.
He questioned that with no one possessing a copy of the constitutional amendment draft, how could they expect to earn the public's trust.
He also noted that democracy had consistently been sabotaged under the cover of darkness.
Sheikh Rashid expressed hope that the political turmoil in the country would reach a decisive resolution by Sept 30.
