LG election in capital to be held on Sept 29, ECP informs IHC

ECP officials said notification regarding local body elections will be issued in the next two weeks.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday told the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that the local body election in federal capital would be conducted on September 29.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the case regarding the matter during which the Election Commission officials said that the amendment in the Election Act is also necessary for the local body polls.
The officials said that the matters related to the reserved seats are also not clear. The notification regarding the local body elections will be issued in the next two weeks, they said.
The court remarked that the next hearing of the case would be held after the summer vacation.
