Skill education deemed necessary for prosperity
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on Wednesday that the Punjab Government wanted to empower youth by providing them with skills of the Information Technology (IT) and digital education.
In a meeting with MPA Adnan Chattha, Punjab CM discussed matters related to social welfare. MPA Chattha paid tribute to the CM for working tirelessly for people of Punjab during first 100 days of the government.
Chattha appreciated the CM for the Youth Skill Development Initiative and innovation in Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority.
CM Maryam said that the Youth Skill Development Initiative would herald a new beginning of prosperity in Punjab by promising a resounding future for the young people.
Underscoring the significance of skill education, she said that 40,000 students would benefit from this initiative, adding that courses were being offered free in the training centres.
She hoped that these courses would enable students to become financially independent so that they could support their families.
Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik, Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary also participated in the meeting.
