More than 40 countries and cultural associations participated in the festival
LYON (Web Desk) - Pakistan’s embassy in France with over 40 other countries and cultural associations participated in two-day Fetes Consulaires 2024 in Lyon.
The theme of the event was art and culture.
Lyon Mayor Grégory Doucet alongwith his team members was received by the embassy’s officials at Pakistan pavilion.
He enjoyed traditional Pakistani drink Rooh Afza and was presented with handmade football.
The mayor appreciated the diverse Pakistani arts, culture, cuisine and music on display. The Pakistani pavilion won hearts of the visitors as the mehndi stall, handicrafts, delicious kebabs and samosas remained talk of the town.
A fashion show was also organised by the Pakistan embassy in collaboration with Paris-based Pakistani designer Naina Khan and Paris-based Pakistani makeup artist Komal.
The fashion show with Pakistani music in the background also enthralled the visitors as it showcased colourful Pakistani bridal and traditional dresses.
