Funeral prayers for security personnel martyred in Lakki Marwat

ISPR says martyrs will be buried with full military honours in their respective native towns
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Funeral prayers for seven security personnel, who embraced martyrdom in an improvised explosive device explosion in Lakki Marwat on Sunday, were offered in Bannu on Monday morning.
According to the military’s media wing, the Peshawar Corps commander, serving officers, soldiers and a large number of people attended the funeral prayers.
The ISPR stated that the martyrs would be buried with full military honours in their respective native towns.
On Sunday, a captain along with six soldiers of the Pakistan Army, who were aboard a vehicle, were martyred when an IED exploded in Lakki Marwat district.
The martyred security personnel were identified as Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas, Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir, Lance Naik Muhammad Anwar, Lance Naik Hussain Ali, Sepoy Asadullah, Sepoy Manzoor Hussain, and Sepoy Rashid Mehmood, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations.
The ISPR affirmed that the security forces of Pakistan were committed to eradicating the scourge of terrorism, adding that "the sacrifices of our brave martyrs further strengthen our resolve".
