PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has stated that the federal government is poised to announce the budget for 2024-25. If the people of KP feel their rights are being overlooked, a long march to the capital will be inevitable, he added.

Addressing the KP Assembly, the chief minister highlighted the sacrifices made by the people of Fata for the creation of Pakistan.

“If the people question us about our unfulfilled promises, what will we answer?” he asked, noting that the province had not received a single rupee for fighting terrorism.

Gandapur pointed out that KP was supposed to receive Rs90 billion but had only been given Rs60 billion, questioning the whereabouts of the remaining funds.

He urged those who had allegedly stolen the PTI mandate to step down with dignity.

“We have allocated Rs7 billion to the police and will provide more. The province is enacting a death penalty law for the killers of innocent people,” he said, adding that around 156-162 feeders facing up to 22 hours of load shedding would soon be converted to solar energy to provide relief to the people.

“We will also grant residential plots to the widows of martyrs in housing societies,” he added, calling on the people to support him in the fight against corruption.
