Hussain Haqqanis resignation accepted

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has accepted Hussain Haqqanis resignation.

Pakistan’s ambassador to United States tendered his resignation over a memo issue.According to Presidential spokesman, Farhatullah Babar, the Prime Minister asked Hussain Haqqani to resign with a view to ensure a transparent inquiry into the controversial memo. He further said that all the persons linked with the memo issue would be given a fair chance to explain their position.
