Ahmed Farhad's family meets him at police station in Muzaffarabad

Ahmed Farhad’s brother Syed Liaquat Shah told reporters that the condition of Farhad was stable.
MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) - The family of missing Kashmiri poet’s Ahmed Farhad met him in Kahori police station near Muzaffarabad on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
After the meeting, Ahmed Farhad’s brother Syed Liaquat Shah told reporters that the condition of Farhad was stable and they would now fight a legal battle in the AJK.
Earlier in the day, the federal government told the Islamabad High Court that poet and journalist Ahmad Farhad, who had been missing for the last 15 days, was in the Azad Kashmir police custody.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the Islamabad High Court conducted hearing of the recovery of missing poet Farhad's case. Iman Mazari appeared before court on behalf of Farhad's wife whereas the Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) represented the federal government.
During proceedings of the case, Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan told the court that Farhad was arrested and detained by the Azad Kashmir police.
The attorney general also submitted a report of the Dheer police station of Azad Kashmir in court.
It may be recalled that poet Farhad had gone missing 15 days ago in Islamabad. Farhad's wife Arooj Zainab had lodged a complaint in the IHC for recovery of her husband.
