Says extending NAB’s authority to confine accused in its custody from 14 to 40 days is inappropriate
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) central committee has termed amendment to NAB rules as inappropriate.
According to the MQM-P, extending NAB’s authority to confine an accused in its custody from 14 to 40 days, is irrelevant.
The party also condemned the amendment reducing punishment of an official from five years to two years who files a case against a person with bad intent.

The party was of the view that the country’s economy and politics had already been affected by the NAB laws and wrong applications and thus the amendments of the law are required to be looked at with utmost care.
