CJP Faez Isa to depart for Azerbaijan today, Justice Muneeb to take oath as acting CJP

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa will be leaving Pakistan today to undertake his tour of central Asian state Azerbaijan. Justice Muneeb will perform duties as acting chief justice of Pakistan in his absence.
CJP Isa will participate in the Conference of Chief Justices of ECO countries. He will remain abroad from May 18 to 25.
During the foreign visit of Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, Justice Muneeb Akhtar will assume duties as acting chief justice. Justice Muneeb Akhtar will take oath as acting chief justice today.
The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the Supreme Court Judges Block at 10:30 am.
Justice Yahya Afridi will administer the oath to Justice Muneeb Akhtar as acting chief justice of Pakistan. Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa returned the protocol before his foreign visit.
