RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – An officer of the Pakistan Army was martyred and three terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation in general area Sambaza, Zhob district of Balochistan, on Tuesday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement said, “During the conduct of operation, troops effectively engaged the terrorists location, as result of which three terrorists were killed”.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the deceased terrorists.
However, Maj Babar Khan, who was leading his troops from the front during the intense exchange of fire, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced martyrdom. The 33-year-old officer hailed from Mianwali district.
Sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist present in the area, the military’s media wing said.
“Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts of sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan, and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” read the statement.
